BEACON is the brainchild of a woman, a mother, a teacher, an academician, and a lifelong learner whose professional journey spans more than twenty-five years in education, including teaching, mentoring, and school administration. She holds postgraduate degrees in English Language and Literature and Psychological Counselling and Guidance.
Her extensive experience with children, adolescents, parents, and educators has provided invaluable insights into the complexities of human growth and development. Over the years, she has witnessed the countless ways in which individuals are shaped by their choices, relationships, environments, and life experiences. Her interactions with parents deepened her understanding of the vital role that love, commitment, communication, and relationships play in the process of nurturing healthy individuals and families.
Her passion for literature opened windows into diverse lives, cultures, and human experiences, fostering a profound appreciation for the richness and complexity of the human condition. Driven by a desire to understand the unseen forces that influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, she embarked on the study of psychology.
During her postgraduate training in Psychological Counselling and Guidance, she gained a deeper understanding of the human mind and its intricate relationship with emotions, behaviour, relationships, and overall well-being. Through internships, workshops, and practical training, she developed an appreciation for the transformative power of psychological interventions, psychoeducation, and counselling in helping individuals navigate life's inevitable challenges.
Inspired by the belief that "a stitch in time saves nine," she recognizes that timely support and intervention can preserve the fabric of human life, relationships, and well-being. This conviction gave birth to BEACON—a space dedicated to offering guidance, understanding, and hope.
At BEACON, the message is simple: You do not have to face life's challenges alone. Together, we can explore possibilities, build resilience, and discover pathways toward growth and healing.
BEACON is committed not only to counselling and psychological support but also to promoting awareness and mental well-being through workshops and educational programs for children, adolescents, parents, couples, young adults, and senior citizens. The goal is to foster awareness, because awareness leads to understanding, understanding leads to change, and change creates meaningful difference.
BEACON aspires to encourage a culture in which seeking professional psychological support is viewed as a sign of wisdom and strength rather than weakness or stigma. It seeks to illuminate the foggy, the unseen, and the unheard aspects of human experience, transforming them into spaces of clarity, connection, and peace.
Like a lighthouse guiding ships through uncertain waters, BEACON stands as a symbol of hope, awareness, growth, and compassionate support—offering light to those seeking direction and a safe harbour for those navigating life's journey.
